Curriculum Design & Development

Innovative Global Learning Solutions LLC provides curriculum design and development for in-person instructor led training, virtual-instructor led training (VILT), asynchronous eLearning, blended learning, microlearning and performance support. 

In order to build innovative courses that facilitate applied learning and behavior change, we embed instructional design learning principles into our design:

  • Practicality and timeliness : Courses are relevant and practical to the learners and address real-world experiences and competencies for their work in local governments.

  • Goal-oriented : Courses incorporate goal-based scenarios where learned are asked to solve problems by utilizing the resources available and content from the course to develop a solution.

  • Life experience and prior knowledge : Each learner brings rich life experiences and prior learning to the course.  Reflection activities, group discussions andactivities  provide the opportunity for learners to share their experiences and knowledge based on the topic.

Facilitation

Facilitation is about providing a safe, inclusive learning environment for learners to be able to discover, practice and apply key learnings during the course through practical hands-on case studies, scenarios, activities and group dialogue.  The role of the facilitator is to facilitate the process of learning, to connect key learnings and experiences and to give the learner the space to create their learning experience. Innovative Global Learning Solutions LLC provides facilitation services through the following methods:

  • On-site and Virtual Facilitation : Facilitate learning programs on-site and virtually for up to 30 learners.

  • Train the Trainer (ToT) : Facilitate a specific learning program to trainers and then, giving them the opportunity to practice facilitating sections of the course to other trainers for feedback and coaching.

Learning Management System (LMS) Implementation

As the LMS market reached over $15.72 billion in 2021 with thousands of LMS vendors and hundreds of features, choosing a LMS that best meets the organizational and learner needs and context can be overwhelming.

Therefore, Innovative Global Learning Solutions LLC works with clients to determine the LMS that best fit their learning needs, vets platforms and provides a recommendation based on cost and features.

Once a LMS is selected, we work with the client and the designated team to create an implementation plan and to roll out the system especially through an initial pilot phase, a review process and then a full organizational wide launch.

In addition, we work with the client to map out competencies to create personalized learning plans for key organizational positions so that they have the skills needed to effectively carry out their roles.
